Many names, one solution: NetLocker makes your locker system smart

There are many names circulating for the digitization of lockers. Some call it smart locker systems or Smart Locker Systems. Others simply call them digital locker systems. But what exactly makes a locker system smart?

use cases

There are many use cases in companies in daily operations that increasingly rely on smart concepts digitally controlled access authorizations (or access authorizations) are instructed.
NetLocker offers a large number of application scenarios. In this way, people are granted access to certain subjects via targeted authorization and application processes. NetLocker is a standard solution developed in Germany.

Smart locker systems become an interdisciplinary infrastructure, which, depending on the application, runs correspondingly stored processes and enables the actors to receive targeted information and access rights.

NetLocker controls the rule-based opening of electronic locks.

The mail distribution in the company often represents a permanent basic utilization of a digital locker system. In addition to the mail distribution, the system can also be used as a transfer point for important documents, as an issuing point for resources and consumables or as a key management system.

The principle is always the same:
An employee identifies himself at the system with his employee ID card. Depending on the stored authorizations, different processes can then be triggered:

The advantages of a smart locker system - dynamic and asynchronous

Dynamic

A digital locker system or smart locker system requires fewer compartments than conventional systems. As a result, it often only takes up 30% of the space previously used. Software dynamically controls compartment assignment in real time. The service thus takes into account which compartment is occupied for which application or which compartment is available for the next 'booking'.

Asynchronous

The requirements of compliance and data protection stipulate that documents, letters and parcels should be delivered securely within the company and without access by unauthorized third parties. So far, such physical handover processes have always been synchronous. This means that both people must be at the same place at the time of the handover in order to ensure that the handover and thus the transfer of responsibility can take place safely. This is no longer necessary with smart locker systems. The important document or the object to be handed over can be filed in a compartment at any time. The content of the subject is finally made accessible only to the addressee at a later point in time. The transfer is logged with a time stamp.

Notifications give clear information

The notification service informs everyone involved about the status of the object. So everyone knows where and in what status the object is currently staying, and who is responsible. With the notification setup you manage all desired notifications. The system notifications can be sent either by e-mail (standard), SMS or Messenger.
